This year we spent our actual anniversary in Disneyland and it was honestly oh-so-sweet! Taylor treated me to a fun little lunch date at the Blue Bayou-- one of the restaurants I've low-key dreamed about eating at since I was a little hopeless romantic back in high school! It was just as dreamy as I'd thought it would be, too. BUT, we had a little almost-one-year-old babe grabbing at everything placed within her reach on the table, which demanded 98.9% of BOTH mine and Taylor's attention, so we decided that we owed ourselves a nice little anniversary dinner with just the two of us as soon as we got back to Utah. And that's just what we did!

We ended up at the Roof Restaurant in Salt Lake and we had the most stunning view of the Salt Lake Temple during our meal. You really can't beat that view! Neither of us had ever previously eaten there, so it was a fun first for both of us. If you haven't had the chance to eat there yourself, I'd highly encourage you to change that!

The food was sooo good and we both left feeling extra, extra full. We each had more our fair share of italian sodas (I haven't ever had one as good as the ones we had that night-- the pomegranate one was my fave), potatoes, salmon, ham, creme brulee, cheesecake... if you could think of it, we probably ate it. I don't know if that's something we should be proud of or ashamed of.

We really did enjoy our experience, though. They had live piano music gently serenading us in the background, a super attentive and kind staff, delicious food, and debatably the very best view of the Salt Lake temple. It's definitely one of those places you have to eat at if you ever find yourself looking for a great place with great food in the middle of Salt Lake. Taylor and I got to sit and talk about all the things we love about our love. We reminisced in fond memories and held hands across the table as we looked forward to the unknown adventures that lay waiting in the hush of the future. Marriage is so cool. It's enriched my life in every way imaginable and I can't believe it's already been three years... but also I can't believe it's ONLY been three years.

It was nice to be able to get out, just the two of us, and celebrate our love. I can't wait to see where life will take us in the years to come that we get to spend together!
