One of my very favorite autumn activities is going to Gardener Village during their witch fest! I used to visit as a child and I have very vivid memories of walking around wearing pigtails and laughing at all of the witty witch displays they have there. So naturally, now that I'm an adult, I find myself talking my friends into going with me each year to see the witches. I've said it a million times before and I'll definitely be saying it a million more times, but the thing that makes holidays so magical is the traditions we create around them! I've really strived to come up with fun traditions for every season of the year so that, as my kids grow up, they'll have all sorts of things to look forward to. I want to help make their childhood magical.

The day we picked to go ended up being a cold, rainy day. I wasn't particularly upset about it, though. It just meant there were less people there! We bundled up all of the kids and plopped them down in the strollers where they'd get a fun view of all the cute witch-themed displays. We got THE cutest little witch hat headband for Billie and I'm constantly looking for excuses to put it on her because it's pretty stinkin' adorable.

I love Gardener Village in general but it's definitely extra-fun during this time of the year. Then again, I'm very obsessed with Halloween so maybe I'm a wee bit biased. BUT STILL, it's so cute and fun during the autumn months!

They had the cutest little face-painting booth set up and my cute niece said she wanted to get her face painted. When she was given the opportunity, however, she got incredibly shy and proceeded to cover her face with her cute little witch hat. Brooke, my sister in law, ended up getting her face painted to see if it would help cute Dallas find the courage to get hers painted, but alas, that was not the case.

I'm pretty sure Billie is going to be very similar to Dallas as she grows older. The two of them are hilarious together. I get a kick out of watching them interact. Life is better with two little sassy red heads.

Speaking of sassy... Billie seriously has so much spunk. I love that about her (although, sometimes it makes it hard to parent her haha). She's got so much personality for such a small human. It's been fun to watch her personality flourish and bloom as she gets older and learns more about the world around her. Not a day goes by without her making me laugh until I cry.

We did lunch at Archibald's while we were there. It was super yummy but the whole experience was absolutely chaotic due to the fact that when we arrived, we were informed that they only had one available high chair. YIKES. Needless to say, that was one of the more eventful lunches I've ever had. But we all survived and ended up still having fun and getting some food in our bellies whilst wrestling our children.

Once we were all fed the sun decided to make an appearance for a second. From that point on, we had a much better experience walking around and seeing all the witches (cold and hungry kids aren't incredibly fun to be around, believe it or not). We had so much fun seeing all of the witty witch displays! Some of them were actually way funny-- this "witchy poo" one is the one I remembered from my childhood. Clearly it left quite the impact on young CaLea hahahaha.

Anyway, I'm all out of words but not quite all out of photos from this day yet. It was so much fun just hanging out with my people at one of my very favorite places! If you ever get a chance to go, do it. It won't disappoint!
