It's fun to share a list of things you like. One of my favorite things is to read through other people's favorites lists because a) it helps me find things in common with them and b) it helps me find a couple of new favorites for myself. (And I like making lists for myself so future me can look back at current me and see what kind of things I was enjoying). So, without further ado, here's one of the most random list of favorites you'll likely see in a while:

1.  Favorite books read recently.
  • The Language of Flowers: I read this book because a friend of mine said it was her favorite book! I was definitely not disappointed. The storyline is actually pretty tough-- but in a good way? I don't even know how to explain it. But it introduced new ideas into my head that I'd never before known about.
  • You Are a Badass: I don't care who you are, I think everyone can benefit in some way from reading this book. Every single person I know who has read it has absolutely adored it. I don't even know how to explain it, just read it, k?
  • The Happiness Project: Yes. I realize that more than half of these suggestions are self-help books. The reason I like reading them is simply because they get the wheels in my head turning and thinking about how I can personally improve myself and my life. I really liked this once because it focused specifically on happiness-- the author doesn't even try to tell you how to be happy, she just shares her own experiences and what worked best for her.

2.  Favorite board games.
  • Bohnanza (aka the bean game): this is hands-down my all-time favorite game ever. I can't even tell you why it's my favorite game. I just really, really enjoy it. Maybe it's because every game is different? There are a million and one strategies to playing? It's pretty low-key but also awesome? Who knows. But it's seriously my very favorite.
  • Wackee Six: this game is my second favorite game. It requires a TON of focus but it's easy enough to play. There's just a million different things going on all at once and it's a pretty high-speed game. That's probably why I like it-- it matches my brain. You can play as an individual (up to six players) or as teams (up to twelve players). So fun.

3.  Favorite birth story videos.
  • August Grey: I kid you not when I say I literally sobbed throughout this entire video. The first time I saw it was just a few days after I initially discovered that I was pregnant myself, which likely explains the raging hormones and excessive tears that were shed upon my first time viewing it. This couple was just soooo sweet and the love they share for each other is so apparent even in a short video such as this.
  • Billie Stone: The best part of this video is hands-down the moment when mamma holds her baby for the very first time. Again, I totally lost it (it's a common occurence for me to lose control over my emotions whilst discussing / watching / doing anything even remotely baby-related. I'm pathetic).
  • Greta Jade: I mean, this one belongs to Hailey + Brad Devine, enough said, right? This video is so sweet and warms up my heart every single time.

4.  Favorite fall candles from bath and bodyworks.
*they've had ridiculously awesome sales on their fall line going on this past week.

5.  Favorite baby clothes at h&m that I've seen recently.
     *that I haven't bought. I've been practicing self-control. haha
(I'm going to stop while I'm ahead... because basically EVERYHTING in the h&m kids section is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Whether or not you're expecting a baby, you should go look through the fall line for kids because I probably almost died of adorable-ness.)

xx

    1. It's dangerous to watch birth stories and look at baby clothes-- it makes the baby hunger so much more intense!
