I believe in setting goals. I believe in continually making changes for the better. I believe in accountability. So, I've decided to share some of the things I've chosen to work on over the course of the summer. I think it's important to share goals with others because, in the past, I have been personally inspired by goals that I have seen other set and work at accomplishing. We may not always accomplish all of the things that we had hoped to accomplish-- but I believe the most important part is the genuine determination and effort we put into doing so. We cannot control the outcomes (we can control very little in life, really), but we can control what we put into it. At the end of the day, if you can lay in bed and say to yourself, "I did the absolute best that I could," then you accomplished something. Anyway, rant over. Without further ado, my summer goals:

1. Read at least one book per week.
2. Write in my journal at least five minutes per day.
3. Make a bucket list and actively knock items off.
4. Do something kind for someone else daily.
5. Remove all non-essentials from your life (starting with the closet).
6. "Change the way you feel, think, and act about money." -Steve Down
7. Track at least one habit or behavior that you're trying to improve.
8. Write and place a short, thoughtful note for someone once per day.
9. Spend time reflecting on your blessings at least once per day.
10. Choose to laugh, not cry.

What kind of goals have you set for this summer (or even this year)? I love hearing about other's goals because it always gives me good ideas for goals to set in the future!
