This gorgeous park has green rolling hills and a spectacular view and it's located in north Salt Lake (click here for a map). I had heard a lot about it, especially from the photographer community, but I'd never actually been there myself. Let me tell you: it was totally worth it. We live in Provo, so it was a bit of a drive for us, but again, totally worth it.

We went up with my cute brother and sister-in-law to photograph a boho session (complete with the most gorgeous floral arrangement by Ali-- I included a link to her instagram account because she's fantastic) but it's a place I would make the trip to just to have a picnic or go on a gorgeous walk there. There's a little children's park near the entrance, but beyond that, there are trails that lead out into the most gorgeous green hills (that basically look like the shire). So on one side, you've got the shire, and on the other side, you've got a perfect view of the glimmering city and the great salt lake stretched out for miles. We passed a number of bikers, walkers, and runners, but it didn't feel "crowded" at all. If it's a place you've never been before, go check it out.

I've been slacking hard core at doing these "Utah travels" posts; not because I'm not out exploring Utah all the time, but rather, most of the time when I'm out in these pretty places, I'm either too busy for pictures OR I'm too busy photographing one of my clients. Plus, we're coming out of the bleak winter months where all anyone ever wants to do is cuddle up and stay at home. I'll be better, I promise (thank heavens for spring + summer)!

xoxo

p.s. shoutout to Taylor for being the ultimate husband and sitting and waiting patiently for me to finish my shoot. hahaha
