There really is nothing better than hot summer evenings spent splashing around in the pool and strolls with your lover through "historic" downtown. Our good friend, Alex (from "Norwegia" lol), came to visit us for a couple of days. All we really did was lay out by the pool and eat really good food-- but I'm not complaining! I mean, it really doesn't get much better than that. I'm totally that awkward person who can lay out all day every day and never get burned... or tan. I just stay the same color all year round. #fairskinnedforever

One of my favorite things about summer is the fact that "putting make-up on" consists of dabbing on a little mascara and little lipstick and then calling it good. I've never really been much of a make-up wearer (partly because I'm lazy but also partly because I always end up rubbing my eyes and getting mascara everywhere), but at least during the summer the "natural" look is the trend. It's the one time of year I fit in! My freckles have been starting to show and I feel like I'm five years old and free again. Holla to all my freckled-friends out there.

I'm glad it's summer.
