I seriously could not have dreamed up a more perfect wedding reception for Taylor and me. We wanted it to be more of a party than a fancy reception and it ended up being just that. People warned us about doing an outdoor reception in the middle of October-- and we just smiled and kept planning our outdoor celebrations anyways. The weather was more perfect than we'd imagined it would be-- it felt like a mid-autumn mid-summer evening... not too hot, not too cold. The leaves danced through the air as they fell from the trees above. The campfire (with complimentary smores) created a mystic haze and it made me fall in love. We served donuts, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider. My mother created a "picture" tree of us that was filled with a timeline of pictures of our friendship. And to wrap it all up, I kicked off my shoes and everyone in attendance danced together-- I even got a special dance with my sweet grandfather, just like he had promised.
I love these pictures because they remind me of that day. And that day was filled with so much happiness, laughter, hugging, dancing, and of course, yummy foods. And that's that. This day was just the beginning of my forever with Taylor. And it will always warm my heart. Oh, how I love weddings.
